Specialized in constitutional law, Dr. Bhimarjun Acharya is a leading constitutional lawyer and nation's influential constitutional scholar. Since 1996 he has been practicing law at the Supreme Court of Nepal mainly in the area of constitutional law. In addition to his practices of law, he has long experiences of teaching jurisprudence and constitutional law at various law universities. An LL.M. and a Ph.D. in the area of constitutional law, Dr. Acharya is credited as an author to the number of noted books on the subjects of constitution, law & politics. He has also edited some books and journals related to law and constitution and published hundreds of articles and papers in different national and international newspapers/journals. He regularly contributes views and opinions on national television and articles to the different national newspapers.
Founding President of Constitutional Lawyers' Forum (CLaF), Dr. Acharya as an expert, has served various government committees, national institutions and constitutional bodies of the government/state of Nepal including the constituent assembly especially on constitutional and political matters.
